EV3 Products: Readers
Evigia’s reader products are built for use in active RFID networks. These readers collect data from the multiple tags within range, and enable the user to interact with these tags. When used in conjunction with its corresponding EV3 family of active transponder tags, this reader network provides unprecedented visibility, asset management control, and security monitoring at price-points that were unattainable previously.
All Evigia RFID readers support worldwide interoperability through compliance with the ISO 18000-7 wireless communications standard. All operate under FCC/IC regulations to provide low-power wireless communication, are EMI compliant for use on any aircraft and HERO tested and certified to be safe without any restrictions.
In contrast to Wi-Fi or other high-frequency wireless protocols, Evigia’s EV3 family of active RFID readers is capable of communicating through concrete, water and around metal objects.
« Active Fixed Interrogator (EV3-AFI): When used in conjunction with ISO 18000-7 compliant tags, such as the EV3 family of active transponders, this fixed network reader provides unprecedented visibility, asset management control and security monitoring at price points that were previously unattainable. This Active Fixed Interrogator is long range (350 feet), omni-directional and networkable, forming the backbone of a low cost yet highly-functional and secure active RFID-reader network. It can be mounted to any type of structure.
« Active Hand-Held Interrogator (EV3-HHI): By building upon the rugged MC-9090 platform, this ISO18000-7 capable clip-on-module yields a field-robust and non-incendiary mobile platform through which the rest of the EV3 and ISO18000-7 compliant networks can be read, monitored and managed. Weighing just over two pounds and featuring a range of 250 feet, this handheld computer allows complete visibility and management of assets.
« Passive/Active/Barcode Hand-Held Interrogator (EV3-HHI-PAB): This product features wireless communication with both EPC Gen2 passive and globally accepted high-performance ISO18000-7 active RFID systems. Passive tags can be used to track assets at item-level in a shipment unit or container, while the handheld unit can gather information from these assets and store the data in an active tag that accompanies the shipments. This enables hierarchical automated inventory and the generation of shipping manifests augmented by the long range, sensing, security and high performance of active RFID. The active RFID module is ISO 18000-7 compliant and interoperable and has a range of 250 feet.
